mmWave

Various commercial millimeter-wave (mmWave or mmw) markets are growing rapidly, namely, 77GHz/79GHz automotive radar, E-band backhaul, 60GHz WiGig and 802.11ad, and 94GHz passive imaging systems. There are also several Aerospace and Defense (A&D) related application such as phased-array radars with operating frequencies ranging from 6GHz to 94GHz. The key factor in all these markets is to improve hardware SWaP-C (Size, Weight, Power, and Cost). Most current mmWave (mmw) solutions use III-V components and MMICs at much higher cost and much lower integration than what commercially available silicon-based processes (SiGe and CMOS) can offer. Migrating from existing expensive III-V solutions with low level of integration to highly-integrated silicon-based solutions can result in significantly lower cost and enhanced reliability of the system, while providing considerable power consumption savings.

SaberTek has developed a rich mmWave (mmw) portfolio to enable highly-integrated silicon solutions for all major mmWave applications and various frequency bands, including 20GHz, 24GHz, 44GHz, 60GHz, 77/79GHz, E-band, and 94GHz.
